Cork material, which is made from the bark of cork oak. Usually cork oak growth of more than 20 years before you can start to strip, after every ten to twenty years to strip. It is mainly distributed in subtropical, temperate climate zones, such as Portugal, Spain, Qinba mountains and so on. The cork tree is the only species whose bark regenerates itself after each harvest. The bark grows back completely, with a smoother texture after each harvest. With cork oak, every ending is a new beginning.
Natural color, no decay, no moth, non-toxic and tasteless, moisture and water resistant, elastic, anti-slip and wear-resistant, heat insulation and heat preservation, sound damping, anti-static, non-staining …… Yes, these are the unique properties of cork. We use this material to replace the use of plastic on the pen and PU leather on the notebook.
Cork is one of the most sustainable materials available today. No trees are harmed during cork harvesting and it is 100% biodegradable, which means the overall environmental impact is minimal.
Add to this the fact that cork forests reduce carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere by 16 million tons, and the environmental benefits become even more apparent. Even in cases where mixed cork products are not fully biodegradable, the wide range of recycling options helps minimize the environmental impact.
